Do you worry about security at night? You may feel isolated but reluctant to bother your family. You may miss seeing a friendly face every day and having a chat or a meal with someone who cares. And living alone can mean feeling anxious that you could have a fall when there’s no-one around to help. Many older people struggle with these same concerns. Homesharing is an excellent way to have a little companionship and social interaction while staying in your own home and feeling more independent.
At Homeshare Living we’re here to help. We want you to feel safe, secure and happy.
We really care about finding the right Sharer for you.
We first arrange to meet you at your home to get to know you and discuss your requirements. Members of your family may want to attend, which we welcome. We then get to work on finding your ideal Sharer.
Next we introduce you to a suitable vetted Sharer (or two if you prefer) and we’re with you at your home when you meet. If you are both happy to proceed, we then draft an agreement for you both to sign. If not we find another match for you.
Once approved by you, your new Sharer moves in on the agreed date. We then charge a small monthly fee for our services. We also provide ongoing support, calling you monthly and visiting every three months.
We understand it’s hard to feel comfortable with a stranger. However you can rest assured that all our Sharers are checked and double-checked to ensure they are caring people who have integrity and are suitable for homesharing. We only approve potential Sharers who have kind and caring personalities and excellent references. And while they may start off as a stranger, they could quickly become a trusted companion and friend. This is why more and more people are contacting us at Homeshare Living. The service gives support to older people and peace of mind to your families, while solving the accommodation worries of young professionals.
