We are delighted to offer a lovely new Homeshare opportunity for someone to live comfortably and affordably In North London, in return for providing some companionship and a little practical help to an older lady, and a reassuring overnight presence.

Available from: January 2025.

Homeshare Location:

The home is well located in a quiet residential street, approximately 10 minutes’ walk from East Finchley tube station (Northern Line), with good bus links and local shops close by.

Accommodation on Offer:

A nice double bedroom in a well maintained three-bedroom house with beautiful garden. Shared bathroom with separate toilet. Dining room available for Sharer to work or study. Shared use of kitchen and living room. Good Wi-Fi available. Storage available for a bicycle.

What the Opportunity Involves:

In return for the low-cost accommodation (£199 per month), we are looking to match our Homeowner with a well-suited Sharer who is happy to provide some daily companionship and a reassuring presence overnight. No personal care is permitted.

Our Homeowner is in her late 70s, a warm sociable lady with a good sense of humour who loves meeting people and having a chat and a giggle. She leads a quiet life, mostly staying at home as her mobility is limited, and she feels very lonely at times.

She enjoys listening to a whole range of music, particularly 60s music, and watching the odd TV drama or soap.

She’s very close to her children and grandchildren and has a carer twice a week who she enjoys seeing and chatting to but would benefit from some more daily social interaction and conversation.

The homeowners’ ideal sharer will be a female who is warm, kind, open and friendly with a naturally positive, can-do attitude who will bring a bit of life and sparkle into the house. Someone who is happy to provide some friendly daily companionship, and also prepare the odd meal, help with basic IT, and grocery shopping etc

Preferably someone working flexibly or partly from home. A non-smoker.

The Homeowner has a cat. This opportunity would not suit someone who wants to bring other pets.

Cost: £199 per month

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do NOT pay any rent to the Homeowner. Bills are included, although you may be asked to make a modest contribution to the Homeowner towards the energy bills, and council tax if you are working.
