We are delighted to offer a new Homeshare opportunity for someone to live comfortably and affordably in a great part of north London, in return for providing a little practical help and companionship to an older lady, and mostly an overnight reassuring presence.

Available from: mid-end January 2025.

Homeshare Location:

Situated in a quiet, residential street close to the shops in Finchley Central and only a couple of minutes’ walk to the tube station (Northern Line), and good bus routes into Central London.

Accommodation on Offer:

Bright double bedroom with wardrobe space and desk in this cosy three-bedroom house. Shared bathroom, kitchen and garden. Wi-Fi is available.  [Photos to follow].

What the Opportunity Involves:

In return for the low-cost accommodation (£199 per month), we are looking to match our engaging and bright homeowner with a younger sharer for some mutual companionship and particularly a reassuring presence at night.

Our homeowner is a practising clinical psychologist, a sociable and friendly lady with an active life. She is very close to her adult children who are moving out of the home early in the new year and she is not keen to be alone in the home overnight once they leave.

This opportunity would particularly suit a psychology student, medical student or health practitioner, who would enjoy sharing some time together during the week over a cup of tea or occasional meal and conversation about their studies/work. Our homeowner would be a very good mentor for the right person.

Practical help might include some local shopping and errands, light housework and odd jobs around the home.

The ideal sharer will be in their 20s/early 30s with an independent life and focus on their career. Someone who would expect to sleep in the house most nights except for planned trips.

There is a cat in the home. No other pets please.

Cost: £199 per month

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do NOT pay any rent to the homeowner. Bills are included, although you may be asked to make a modest contribution to the homeowner towards the energy bills and council tax.
