We are delighted to offer a wonderful new Homeshare opportunity for someone to live comfortably and affordably in a lovely part of North West London in return for providing some companionship to an older lady.

Available from: January 2023.

Homeshare Location:

A 10-minute walk to the high street, shops and cafés in Northwood, and to Northwood tube station (Metropolitan Line – 35 minutes into central London). Excellent bus routes right outside the home to Watford. Ruislip and Hatch End and situated very close to 2 main hospitals.

Accommodation on Offer:

Choice of two bedrooms with single bed, TV, plenty of cupboard and desk space and own bathroom in a very well maintained, beautiful, clean and cosy apartment in a secure block with large roof terrace. Excellent Wi-Fi. Shared use of fully equipped kitchen and living room. A cleaner comes to the house regularly. There is a garage available for a car.

What the Opportunity Involves:

In return for the low-cost accommodation, (£199 per month), we are looking to match our lovely Homeowner with a friendly female Sharer, who is happy to provide a little practical support and reassurance that someone is there at night but mostly some daily companionship.

Our homeowner is an active and independent lady in her early 90’s who walks half a mile daily and enjoys regular activities such as pilates, indoor bowling and lunch with friends. She was sadly widowed last year and is close to her children and grandchildren who she sees regularly, however she is very lonely living alone at home and would really benefit having somebody to chat to, and pop out with sometimes to the shops or to a café. She used to be a dressmaker and her interests include the arts, reading, cinema, and theatre. She enjoys playing games and doing puzzles and jigsaws.

The ideal Sharer will be female, someone working or studying, partly from home or flexibly, clean and tidy with a good sense of humour, kind and easy going. Practical support will include helping with occasional IT or phone issues and the odd bit of grocery shopping.

Cost: £199 per month

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do NOT pay any rent to the homeowner. Bills are included although you may need to make a small contribution to the homeowner towards council tax if you are working, and possibly a small contribution towards energy bills.
