We are very happy to offer a new Homeshare opportunity for someone to live comfortably and affordably in this lovely, leafy part of north London, in return for providing some companionship and a little practical help to an older lady, and a reassuring overnight presence.

Homeshare Location:
Very well situated in a quiet residential street close to the local shops, cafes and parks with excellent bus services to the Northern Line (Golders Green).
Accommodation on Offer:
A bright double bedroom in a lovely detached house with garden with own bathroom and good shower, and toilet, and sole use of separate room as an office for someone working or studying from home. Shared use of kitchen and living room. Good Wifi available.
What the Opportunity Involves:
In return for the low-cost accommodation (£199 per month), we are looking to match our homeowner with a well suited sharer who is happy to provide some evening companionship and a reassuring presence overnight. No personal care is permitted.
Our Homeowner is in her mid 80s, a quiet, bright lady who is a retired psychotherapist. She has a carer during the day who prepares her meals and accompanies her on local walks as her mobility is limited and slow. She is close to her family who are in regular touch and she enjoys keeping up with the news, reading, and watching feel good tv shows such as Bake Off in the evening.
Her current sharer who has lived with her for many years is leaving to work abroad and we are looking to match our homeowner with a new sharer who is either working or studying and happy to share her home for mutual benefit. This opportunity is mainly about companionship, spending time together in the evenings for a few hours (the daytime is not so important as the carer is there) chatting or watching tv together.
The ideal sharer will be a mature female (our homeowner’s preference) aged 40+ who has their own career or is a mature student who would describe themselves as a ‘homebody’, and is intuitive and sensitive to someone’s else’s needs.
Our homeowner is a vegetarian and would prefer to share with a non meat eater, and a non-smoker.

Cost: £199 per month
This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do NOT pay any rent to the Homeowner. Bills are included, although you may be asked to make a modest contribution to the Homeowner towards the energy bills, and council tax if you are working.
