We are offering a lovely new Homeshare opportunity available immediately for someone to live comfortably and affordably in a gorgeous part of north west London, in return for providing some companionship and practical support to an older lady.

Available from : 11th July 2024.

Homeshare Location

Situated in leafy residential Hampstead Garden Suburb, London N2, only a few minutes’ walk to East Finchley Tube station (Northern line) and 20 minutes into central London.

Acccommodation on Offer:

Beautiful clean double bedroom overlooking the garden with plenty of wardrobe space. Use of separate bedroom for work or study if required. Bathroom and separate toilet. Shared use of kitchen, washing machine and dryer. Good Wi-Fi available. A cleaner comes regularly and the house is spotless.

What the Opportunity involves:

In return for the low-cost accommodation (£199 per month), we are looking to match our Homeowner with a kind and friendly female Sharer who can provide some help with practical tasks that our Homeowner finds difficult, a little companionship and most of all a reassuring presence at night. No personal care is permitted.

Our Homeowner is in her early 80s and spends most of her time at home due to her current limited mobility. She has a close and large family who check in with her regularly and carers come four times a week to go with her to appointments and provide some help around the house.

She is otherwise quite independent and wishes to remain so as much as possible. She keeps herself busy by reading, keeping up with current affairs and paperwork and watching television. She particularly likes antiques programmes and quizzes.

The ideal Sharer will be a mature female, working on a hybrid basis or outside the home during the day (as the homeowner does like to have a little bit of space) who is a happy person with a good sense of humour, clean and tidy.
Someone who will help with simple chores eg empty the rubbish regularly, put the bins out, put shopping away, keep the kitchen clean and tidy, and provide basic IT support and some friendly companionship.

Cost: £199 per month

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do not pay any rent to the homeowner. Bills are included but you may need to make a small contribution to the Homeowner towards council tax if you are working.
