We are delighted to offer a wonderful new Homeshare opportunity for someone to live comfortably and affordably in central London in return for providing some practical support, occasional companionship, and a reassuring extra presence in the home.

Available from mid-April 2023.

Homeshare Location:

Only a few moments’ walk from the shops and cafes on Kensington High Street, and 5-10 minutes’ walk to Kensington (Olympia) station (District line and London Overground)

Accommodation on Offer:

A great space in the basement of this lovely home, with double bed and ensuite shower room, and communal laundry area with washing machine and dryer, and separate fridge, freezer, microwave and hob for the Sharer. Desk space is available and there is excellent Wi-Fi.

What the Opportunity Involves:

In return for the low-cost accommodation (£199 per month), we are looking to match our Homeowner with someone who works or studies mostly from home and has a flexible schedule. Practical help might include odd jobs around the house, occasional shopping, taking the bins out, IT support, clearing leaves in the garden, answering the door to deliveries, and the phone sometimes.

Our Homeowner is an active older lady who is used to having a busy household and people coming in and out. Her interests include current affairs, friends and family, exercise, travelling, theatre and gardening, She would be delighted to share some time and interesting conversation with the Sharer on a daily/ad hoc basis, and over a drink or a meal occasionally.

The ideal Sharer will have their own independent and interesting life, be well travelled, friendly with a good sense of humour and a can-do attitude. Someone who is happy to help out if asked, and who likes dogs. A non-smoker only.

Cost: £199 per month

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do not pay any rent to the homeowner but may be required to make a small contribution to household bills.
