Homeshare Location:
This Homeshare opportunity is located in a safe, gated block of flats, a 15 minute walk to local shops and the high street and to Edgware tube station (Northern line). There is off street parking available and underground parking for a bike.
Accommodation on Offer:
A cosy and furnished bedroom in a beautiful, warm and well designed flat, with single bed, wardrobe space, and own bathroom. Shared use of the kitchen, living area and garden. There is a washing machine and dryer in the home and Wifi is available. A cleaner comes regularly and the home is spotless.

What the Opportunity Involves:
In return for the low-cost accommodation (£199 pm), we are looking to match our older homeowner with a kind female sharer who can provide some occasional companionship, and the reassurance that there is someone else coming home in the evenings, ie ‘another key in the door’.
Our homeowner is in her late 80’s and whilst she does enjoy her own company, she also finds living alone very lonely and quiet. She has lovely family who she spends a couple of evenings with during the week, and during the day on Saturdays, and she stays in touch with friends on the phone.
She was widowed many years ago and has remained independent and active, driving until a recent cataract operation, since which time she has lost her confidence a little and is mostly at home. She cooks for herself in the evenings.
Our homeowner spends the day reading or watching television and she enjoys cookery shows. In the past she was a dress designer for many years, and she also loved to paint.
She is looking to share her home with a friendly, warm and compassionate lady, who might be working or studying, and would enjoy sharing with her too.
Someone who can help with some grocery shopping, peel some vegetables, offer a cup of tea and share some time together over a meal or coffee at home, or perhaps sometimes somewhere locally. No personal care is required or permitted.
Cost: £199 per month
This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do not pay the rent to the homeowner. Bills are included however you may need to make a small contribution towards council tax . (Full-time students are exempt).
