Accommodation on Offer:

A large and bright double room overlooking the beautiful garden. Twin beds, fully fitted wardrobes and shared use of bathroom, kitchen, living room and garden. There is good wifi.

What the Opportunity Involves:

In return for the low-cost accommodation (£199 pm), we are looking to match a female Sharer who is happy to provide around 10 hours per week of companionship and some practical support around the home. No personal care is permitted.

Our elderly homeowner has been very housebound during the pandemic, and although she has a large and loving family who keep in regular contact and kind neighbours, she misses having daily companionship, and finds it very hard being alone so much. She also has severely arthritic knees which make it difficult for her to do some every day tasks around the home such as emptying the machines, putting heavy food away and putting the bins out.

Our homeowner is a delightful, chatty and interesting lady. Her interests include theatre, music and reading, and she used to enjoy singing in a choir.

The ideal Sharer will be kind and empathetic, and might be working or studying and will ideally have some flexibility to be around in the mornings.

Cost: £199 per month

plus possible small monthly contribution to council tax. Students are exempt from Council Tax.

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching and ongoing monitoring service. You do not pay any rent to the homeowner.
