With the 240 bus stop right outside on Holders Hill Road, it’s 10 minutes to Mill Hill East tube, and 15 minutes to Brent Cross or Golders Green stations.
Accommodation on offer:
A cosy and clean single bedroom in a well maintained lovely flat. The bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space, a desk, chair, TV and long-standing mirror. There is very good wifi and a lovely small enclosed patio garden. Shared use of kitchen, dining room, lounge, patio and bathroom.
What the Opportunity involves:
In return for the low-cost accommodation, we are looking to match a female Sharer who is happy to provide around 10 hours per week of practical support around the home and some companionship.
Our homeowner is quite elderly and has a very large family who are in regular contact. She has had an interesting life and she is used to sharing her home. She has a big capacity for engaging people and is also quite independent, and enjoys her own company and space too.
Her many interests include art, fashion current affairs, classical music and playing bridge online. Her favourite TV shows include Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow and Call the Midwife.
She does have some physical health issues including COPD which is managed, and she walks using a frame.
Our homeowner is mainly looking for the reassurance of having someone else in the home overnight, and some help with a few day-to-day things around the home, for example, food shopping, heating up the odd meal, hanging out the washing. The occasional offer of a cup of tea and piece of cake would be lovely! No personal-care is expected or permitted.
The ideal Sharer will either be a female student (aged 23+) or someone who is working sometimes from home and has a little flexibility. Someone who is tidy, easy-going, helpful and has a good sense of humour.

Cost: £199 per month
Plus possible contribution to council tax (full-time students are exempt). This is a monthly facilitation fee for all matching, and ongoing monitoring service. You do not pay any rent to the homeowner.
