We have a fantastic new Homeshare opportunity offering quiet and safe accommodation in a gorgeous part of Central London. The home is a three-storey terraced house only a 3-minute walk from Fulham Broadway station in South West London.
What the Opportunity involves:
In return for this low-cost accommodation, we are looking to match a kind, female Sharer who is happy to provide around 10 hours of practical support and companionship each week to our elderly homeowner, and the reassurance that someone else is there at night. No personal care is permitted or required.
Our homeowner is 90 and would love to have a bit of company at home. She has found this last year very hard spending so much time on her own. Her children live quite far away and stay in touch and visit when they can but she is alone most of the time.
Until lockdown, our Homeowner was still driving and socialising but has since been more housebound. She loves to chat and is interested in art and history, and spends her days doing crosswords and watching television, mostly following current affairs. She has had an interesting life as an actress in her 20’s and TV presenter and has lots of stories to tell.
The ideal Sharer could be someone who is working or studying and has a bit of flexibility to help with some food shopping, light housework, local errands and provide a bit of company. A cleaner comes regularly to help with laundry and housework. Someone who likes cats is preferred as our homeowner has an elderly cat!
The spare room available is a single bedroom with built- in wardrobe and desk, and ensuite bathroom on the top floor of the house. You will also have access to your own large lounge/study room on the floor below, shared use of the kitchen and garden. Wi-Fi is available.
Cost: £199 per month
(The above is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching service. You do not pay any rent to the homeowner. Bills are included).
