The Homeshare Location:

The property is in a great location in Hendon, situated in the borough of Barnet, less than a 10-minute walk from both Hendon Central and Brent Cross underground stations and offering great links into central London.

What the Opportunity involves:

This is a wonderful opportunity to become a homesharer and benefit from affordable accommodation by sharing the home of a lovely older companion in her early 90’s, in return for providing some basic practical help and daily companionship.  

Our homeowner is an active and delightful orthodox Jewish woman, very independent and family-orientated. She has wonderful support available from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who all live locally, and when not talking to her family, she likes to watch TV, especially crime dramas and quizzes. 

This lovely lady and her family are looking for someone who can primarily offer the reassurance of having another adult in the home overnight, but also who is working from home or studying and has some flexibility to be around in the mornings. Occasionally, she may need help completing tasks affected by her arthritis such as opening cans or some light housework and clearing up after a meal, and she would also enjoy having someone to chat to at home. No personal care is permitted. 

As the home is strictly kosher, a sharer with a vegetarian diet is preferred, and an understanding of kosher dietary laws would be a bonus. Our homeowner has a well maintained, clean and warm home and the sharer must be a tidy person and respectful of the shared kitchen space. 

The space 

The spare room available is a bright and modern double bedroom with own en suite bathroom, located on a separate floor to the homeowner. The room comes with lots of storage space and room for a desk if working from home. The en suite features a recently updated bathroom with a shower. The sharer will also benefit from access to their own TV/living room. 

Cost: £199 per month

(The above is a monthly facilitation fee for our matching service. You do not pay any rent to the homeowner. Bills are included although there may be a contribution payable for Council Tax if you are working.)
