A couple of minutes’ walk to Brent Cross underground station (Northern Line); 15 minutes by tube in to central London.

What the Opportunity entails:

A gentle and kind lady in her mid-80’s is offering low cost accommodation in her warm, well maintained home in return for approximately ten hours practical support and some companionship each week.

Our Homeowner is originally from the Canary Islands and speaks fluent Spanish and English. From having had an active life, and a very busy household, caring for her large family over many years, she now spends a lot of time at home alone, which is affecting her confidence and making her feel a little low.

This lady would really benefit from a Homeshare with a mature, caring person who has some flexibility with their working hours, and could be around sometimes during the day to go food shopping with her, or accompany her to appointments or on outings for example to the cinema.  The ideal Sharer might also speak Spanish, although this is not essential.

Our Homeowner enjoys cooking fresh Mediterranean food and watching good dramas on television such as Agatha Christie and The Bodyguard. She is very close to her family who are in regular contact.

The accommodation on offer is a large, airy double bedroom with good wardrobe space and shared use of a modern bathroom, kitchen and other facilities in the home.

Cost: £199 per month

This is a monthly facilitation fee for our service. You do not pay rent to the Homeowner. You may be asked to make a small contribution to household bills. You will be exempt from Council tax if you are a full time student.
