What the Opportunity entails:
An interesting and intelligent 87-year-old lady with a good sense of humour is offering low cost accommodation in her lovely and large home in Highgate in return for ten hours practical support and companionship each week.
She is looking for a young adult Sharer to provide a little extra reassurance of someone being in the home at night, some daily companionship and good conversation and help with cooking an evening meal.
This opportunity would suit a young adult who is studying in advanced education or working who likes to chat about current affairs and the arts and who is looking to Homeshare in a lovely part of London for at least 12 months. You will have a bright and spacious double room on the top floor of the house and your own private shower room.
A driver with a car would be useful but not essential.
This lady very interested in the arts, theatre, music and international politics and likes to have a good chat about the news, to watch a good television drama and comedy programmes such as Fawlty Towers. She has good computer skills and shops online.
Currently recovering from a hip operation, our homeowner is a little housebound and would like to return soon to her weekly activities which include Italian conversation groups, popping in to Highgate Village and going to the Phoenix Cinema. If you enjoy living in a safe and quiet environment and outings to the cinema too, this could be for you!
